IRIS can make a real difference
to practices just starting out.

Douglas Thomson of Kent Coast Accounts contacted IRIS
Group Chief Executive, Martin Leuw, earlier this year to provide
some useful feedback on how the software has helped his practice
develop and grow during its first year of trading.
Douglas is full of praise for the IRIS Starter Pack. He said
"I couldn't manage without IRIS and I would recommend it to any
accountant. It pays for itself in no time because you are able to
turn jobs around so much more quickly."
As any accountant starting a new practice will know, time is
the most valuable commodity and it is important to make the most of
every minute. Douglas explained that in the very beginning, he used
QuickBooks and he would then have to carry the figures over to
prepared templates. This was a lengthy business which then required
further work in the form of word processing in order to produce the
Directors Reports.

He found this extremely time consuming and the final
product sometimes fell short of his exacting standards. He
continued "Everything produced by IRIS looks so professional. It is
good for my clients and good for my business. I continually strive
to deliver standards of excellence across the practice and with
IRIS I feel that I can achieve this."
If Douglas could pinpoint one area where IRIS has particularly
helped him he would choose Limited Companies. These were most time
consuming when tackled manually and can now be completed very
quickly.
Kent Coast Accounts has now been trading for 12 months and
Douglas is looking forward to doubling the number of clients in the
next year. This, he feels is an attainable goal now he has IRIS in
place.
Douglas concluded "We are receiving lots of recommendations
and we look forward to building up the client base in year
two.
I mean everything I say: the help line is tremendous and the
customer care is very good and very friendly."
Douglas was recommended to IRIS through another Chartered
Accountant and he said "I would not hesitate to recommend IRIS to
any accountancy practice."
