Costing module

IRIS Payroll Professional allows you to split the costs of an employee across more than one cost centre and then send an accurate journal file direct to your accounts package (for example IRIS Accounts Office).

This could be, for example, when an employee works on more than one job, or in different cost centre locations. In this case you can accurately account for how much each job is costing you.

Every element of an employee’s pay can be apportioned, including employer’s National Insurance and pension contributions.

Once agreed, the information can then be sent in a journal file direct to your accounts package* including IRIS Accounts Office. You can choose how much information to send, from company totals down to employee Level.

Even when you have moved on to a future payroll period you can still recreate the costing information for any period in the past.

* IRIS Payroll Professional links to many of the leading accounting packages. Please email payrollpro@iris.co.uk to check your current accounting package.
